1. Repair scratches on old furniture

The easiest way is to mix olive oil and toothpaste. Apply the mixture on the damaged surface.

If the furniture is dark, the trick is to add a pinch of soluble coffee to the usual cleaner or mixture. If the scratches are light, just rub with garlic cloves until the damaged area is filled. Then let it dry and with a tissue extract the excess.

If the furniture has a plastic coating, you should mix pea flour and contact glue. This is applied directly to the scratch. Once dry, the surface should be sanded with soft sandpaper to level the surface.

Finally, in all the options, a layer of wax must be applied on the furniture to seal and protect the surface.

2. Clean the joints between the tiles

For this, we will need an alkaline-based powder cleaner, preferably one that reacts with oxygen. It is mixed with water to form a paste, which we will place on the ground over the grooves. We let it act for a few hours.

Finally, with the help of a toothbrush, we scrub the areas a little to remove compacted dirt, other dirt, fungus, and mold. To remove, we simply have to wipe with a damp cloth and remove the excess product. Then we regularly clean the tiles.

3. Clean the grill

You will need ammonia-based detergent, a garbage bag the size of your grill, gloves, and a protective mask for this task. The latter is for safety because ammonia detergent are very aggressive.

For proper cleaning of your grill, place it inside the garbage bag, and pour a cup of detergent. Close it tightly and make sure there are no air vents. It is advisable to use a rubber band to better close the bag. It is important that it is properly closed because cleaning is based on the gases released by the detergent reacting on the dirt on the grid. Leave the rack in the sun until the next day. Ammonia is a toxic substance so be sure not to leave it near plants or animals.

When you take the rack out the next day, wear your gloves and mask. Ammonia fumes are very strong and may cause skin and eye irritation. Take out the rack and wash it with water until all the product is removed, and that’s it.
